Atlantians = Pelasgians

Posted by Admin as Videos

Atlantians were in the Mediterranean Sea for a while but latter they went somewhere.Where did they go? Pelasgians were located in Mediterran everywhere before there show Greeks and Romans and Egyptians and Babylon civilizations. When the Hellenes came to Greece, Pelasgians as Spartans fought the new commers who took over their lands,their old myths,Pelasgian civilization and power. Plato and others said Atlantians did show in Mediterranean Sea. Were they talking about Pelasgians(the present Albanians)? It is not clear where these people come from,but the old Pelasgian myth told that ancient Pelasgians did show from the waters. Did they come from other lands to the Mediterranean Sea? Did they enter from Gibraltar or the Red Sea? Did they come from Azores islands,Americas or Australia? Pelasgians were called Sea People,or people who came from the sea.Were first Pelasgians the so called Atlantians? We must find the truth hidden under the waters of the Mediterranean Sea,where are stil the remains of their old cities before the Floods...

Pelasgians in Epirus

Posted by Admin as Videos

I had to change the song due to copyright claims. **** Ancient Greek historians write about Dodona in Epirus being the 'seat of the Pelasgians' (Hesiod), but research shows conflicting information. Some scholars point out that there were no Pelasgians living in Dodona, but were other nations such as the Helli and Perrhaebi, who originated in Thessaly and migrated to Epirus before the Trojan war. Others point out how 'Pelasgic' was also an adjective that suggested someone or something being ancient. Albanians claim that Illyrians were Pelasgians and that Dodona was sacred to them. History show that Illyrians invaded Epirus many times, and while Dodona was under the authority of Molossians, actually ravaged Dodona until the sacred oak tree that was used as the oracle was cut down by an Illyrian bandit. There are more quotes here than in the video, so I hope people will read them too. **** -DODONA 'The Oracle of Dodona is often mentioned in Homer, and was the most ancient and most celebrated in the early ages of Greece.' (Thomas Smart Hughes, Joseph Mawman, Charles, Travels in Sicily, Greece and Albania p511) '--Pellasgic Dodonaan Jove. The propriety of these appellations in reference to the speaker Achilles, will appear, by considering, that the Myrmidons were a branch of the Pelasgi, and that Dodona is said to have been built by a Pelasgic tribe out of Thessaly. Achilles thus evokes Jupiter as domestic divinity' (A Classical Manual of the Iliad, foot note on book XVI p 238) 'The scholiast proceeds to tell us that the city of Dodona was founded by Deucalion, who came to Epirus after the deluge, and consulted the oracular oak, when he was directed by the dove to build the city, which was named Dodona from one of the Oceanides. He adds, that the Pelasgi settled near Dodona, being originally a Thessalian nation, and though this account is a little different, confirms what we have before mentioned of the Perrhaebi.' (Thomas Smart Hughes, Joseph Mawman, Charles, Travels in Sicily, Greece and Albania p512) 'Dodona had been one of the most ancient places of pilgrimage for the Hellenic race, especially for the Athenians.' (George Grote, History of Greece, p 534) 'It was anciently believed, and apparently not without reason, that three or four centuries before the Trojan war two Pelasgic colonies began to civilize the barbarians of Epirus: that which came from the Peloponnesus by sea (...) the other from the Pelasgic settlements in the north of Thessaly crossed the Pindus and occupied Dodona.' 'William Martin Leake, Travels in Northern Greece, p 174) 'The Oracle of Zeus at Dodona traces its roots back to the early(...) it appears that the Zeus-worshipping Greeks had imposed their god on the site ' (John S. Bowman, Frommer's Greece, p 527) -Perrhaebic, Helli, Selli &Graïci -MOLOSSIANS (Guardings of Dodona) 'Dodona was the oldest oracle in Hellas. Its origin date back to earlier than 1000 BC. A few temple foundations remain, and the standing walls of the acropolis can still be easily recognized. The Theater of Dodona rises impressively from the plain, with massive walls up to 20 meters high. Built during the reign of King Pyrrhus of Epirus (297-272 BC). Dodona's theater was the second largest in Greece, after that of Megolopolis.' (Wolfgang Josing, Greece, pp187-188) -ILLYRIANS 'The Illyrians were in these ancient times also bounded to the east by the Phrygians and Thracians, as well as the Pelasgi' (Karl Otfried Müller, The History and Antiquities of the Doric Race, p 8) 'Again and again Dodona was ravaged, but so long as the oak was standing the temple rose anew. When at last an Illyrian bandit cut down the oak, the presence of Zeus was gone' (Evelyn Abbott Hellenica, p 443) 'The priests were called Tomari, from the neighbouring mountain Tomarus, but they and the oracle were finally put an end to, and the oaks of Dodona felled by an Illyrian peasant' (William Douglas Hamilton, Outlines of the History of Greece, in connection with the rise of the arts p 10) 'sometime in 385/4 the Illyrians invaded Molossis in strength and had to be expelled by Sparta' (P. J. Stylianou, A Historical Commentary on Diodorus Siculus Book 15, p212)

Pelasgians - Sea People

Posted by Admin as Videos

Pelasgians were the so called Sea People and they did build the base of many nations and civilizations as Greeks,Egyptians,Middle eaterns,Turks,Slavs,Iranians,Italians,French,Germans,British etc. Pelasgian language is very close with the Illyrian,Etruscan and the Albanian language. These similarities tell the fact that the ancient Pelasgians survived, lived since the Begining untill today, but under the new names. Their old myths lived and as the people; Pelasgians did spread everywhere changing time after time and creating new branches,new nations around the Mediterranean Sea, which have the same roots and ancestors; the Sea People, the Pelasgians.Albanians did not change much,but they are still there, spread everywhere as the old "pirates",the Pelasgians.If you want to meet a Pelasgian you just meet an Albanian.They are the same.

Pelasgian as non-Hellenic Indo-European Anatolian In western Anatolia, many toponyms with the "-ss-" infix derive from the adjectival suffix also seen in cuneiform Luwian and some Palaic; the classic example is Bronze Age Tarhuntassa (loosely, "City of the Storm God Tarhunta"), and later Parnassus may be related to the Hittite word parna- or "house". These elements have led to a second theory, that Pelasgian was to some degree an Anatolian language.

Male ossuaries contained knives and axes whereas female ossuaries contained earrings, bronze pins, necklaces, gold-diadems, and bracelets. The decorations on some of the gold objects contained spirals of Mycenean origin, but had no Geometric forms. According to their ornamentation, the pots discovered at the site were from the Geometric period. However, the pots also preserved spirals indicative of Mycenean art. The results of the excavations indicate that the Tyrrhenians or Pelasgians of Lemnos were a remnant of a Mycenean population. Professor Della Seta reports:[65] "The lack of weapons of bronze, the abundance of weapons of iron, and the type of the pots

He mentions also that Pelasgus (Ancient Greek: Πελασγός, the [19] eponymous ancestor of the Pelasgians) was the father of Lycaon (king of Arcadia). Asius of Samos describes Pelasgus

Hecataeus of Miletus says of the Peloponnesus that before the time of the Greeks it was inhabited by barbarians. Yet one might say that in the ancient times the whole of Greece was a settlement of barbarians, if one reasons from the traditions themselves: Pelops {395} brought over peoples {396} from Phrygia to the Peloponnesus that received its name from him; and Danaüs {397} from Egypt; whereas the Dryopes, the Caucones, the Pelasgi, the Leleges, and other such peoples, apportioned among themselves the parts that are inside the isthmusand also the parts outside, for Attica was once held by the Thracians who came with Eumolpus, {398} Daulis in Phocis by Tereus, {399} Cadmeia {400} by the Phoenicians who came with Cadmus, and Boeotia itself by the Aones and Temmices and Hyantes. According to Pindar, there was a time when the Boeotian tribe was called Syes. {401} {402} Moreover, the barbarian origin of some is indicated by their namesCecrops, Godrus, Aïclus, Cothus, Drymas, and Crinacus. And even to the present day the Thracians, Illyrians, and Epeirotes live on the flanks of the Greeks (though this was still more the case formerly than now); indeed most of the country that at the present time is indisputably Greece is held by the barbariansMacedonia and certain parts of Thessaly by the thracians,and the parts above Acarnania and Aetolia by the Thesproti, the Cassopaei,the Amphilochi, the Molossi, and the Athamanes Epeirotic." STRABO 007.007.008 The Amphilochians are Epeirotes are the peoples who are situated above them and border on the Illyrian mountains, inhabiting a rugged countryI mean the Molossi, the Athamanes, the Aethices, the Tymphaei, the Orestae, and also the Paroraei and the Atintanes, some of them being nearer to the Macedonians and others to the Ionian Gulf. It is said that Orestes once took possession of Orestiaswhen is, exile on account of the murder of his motherand left the country bearing his name; and that he also founded a city and called it Argos Oresticum. But the Illyrian tribes which are near the southern part of the mountainous country and those which are above the Ionian Gulf are intermingled with these peoples; for above Epidamnus and Apollonia as far as the Ceraunian Mountains dwell the Bylliones, the Taulantii, the Parthini, and the Brygi. Somewhere near by are also the silver mines of Damastium, {457} around which the Dyestae and the Encheleii (also called Sesarethii) together established their dominion; and near these people are also the Lyncestae, the territory Deuriopus, Pelagonian Tripolitis, the Eordi, Elimeia, and Eratyra. In earlier times these peoples were ruled separately, each by its own dynasty. But some go so far as to call the whole of the country Macedonia, as far as Corcyra, at the same time stating as their reason that in tonsure, language, short cloak, and other things of the kind, the usages of the inhabitants are similar, {458}. Herodotus , Euterpe Paras. 20 What I say here is that which the Egyptians say themselves; but as for the gods whose names they profess that they do not know, these I think received their naming from the Pelasgians, except Poseidon; but about this god the Hellenes learnt from the Libyans.
